Ben Pobjie is a poet, comedian, writer, blogger and generally nice chap. He has a weekly humorous column at Australian news commentary site New Matilda, blogs at http://benpobjie.blogspot.com, and has published two books: a collection of stories and poems, 'Handy Latin Phrases'; and a collection of scripts, 'The Adventures of Guanacoman'. He is well-known to listeners of ABC 774, where he has made numerous appearances to read his poetry. He is currently engaged in a campaign to be appointed Australia's first Poet Laureate.
