Courthouse Readings

The Courthouse Reading is held in the historic Eltham Courthouse which was built in the 1860s. Poets read from the dock to a welcoming, friendly audience. The monthly reading has been running for seven years and is convened by Helen Lucas. The Open Section usually has a theme, but readers aren’t confined to this. Entry is $5 which includes tea, coffee, wine, biscuits, ticket in the door prize and of course the poetry.
