Melbourne Poetry Map: Audio Graffiti is a free series of self-guided audio walks through Melbourne’s CBD. This year, the Overload Poetry Festival is commissioning ten new writers to create spoken word responses to the city.

These ten new commissions will join the collection of existing works in the Melbourne Poetry Map which features some of Melbourne’s finest spoken word performers. Together, these performers map the CBD’s dark alleyways and glamorous thoroughfares in poetry, hip hop and verse.

With access to a computer and a portable music device, you can experience the city under the inspiration of some of its most passionate, perverse, political and poetic wordsmiths. This is poetry off the page and off the stage, yours to enjoy on a street or in a laneway or just travelling quietly in the Melbourne in your mind.
