Notes on Sound

David Splatt

A night of performance poetry and obscure musical genius, celebrating the communities of Brunswick and Coburg at the Edinburgh Castle.

Notes on Sound is a collaboration between unique local poets and musicians who play unusual and varied instruments, including harp, saw, banjo, piano accordion and experimentalism with electronica, distortion and loop pedals. Each poet has been matched with musicians whose mediums will emphasise the idiosyncrasies of their language, rhythm and style.

Featuring Andy Jackson, Sean M Whelan and Jessica Alice, and our merry band of musicians. Join us in the intimate back room of the Edinburgh Castle on Tuesday 13 September. Entry is by gold coin donation and there will be a craft raffle with all proceeds going to a local charity.
