Melbourne’s West enjoys a new generation of spoken word stars who aren’t afraid to tell it like it is.

Tell It Like It Is is an initiative of Footscray Community Arts Centre. In this special international edition, the team at Footscray Community Arts Centre has partnered with The Centre for Poetics and Justice, Global Poetics Tour and Overload Poetry Festival to bring three of North America’s slam and spoken word luminaries and their guests to Footscray for the first time.

Featuring Jive Poetic (US) and Ken Arkind (US), and introducing Shane Koyczan (Canada) as part of the Overload Poetry Festival, these poetry heavyweights will have you hooked!
