Emilie Collyer
Emilie Collyer lives in Melbourne. She writes plays, fiction and poetry. Her writing has appeared in Blue Dog, Kill your Darlings, The Green Fuse, Page Seventeen, Torpedo, Cottonmouth, Voiceworks, Trouble, The Australian Book Review and Viewpoint.  Emilie’s plays have been produced by ABC Radio National, La Mama, The Victorian Arts Centre and St Martins among others, and she has developed work with and been supported by Melbourne Theatre Company, Playbox, Australia Council, Arts Victoria, Ian Potter Foundation, Varuna Writers Centre, ANPC and Playworks.
Award winning plays include Argonauta (Young Playwright’s Award 1997) and Promise (George Fairfax Award 2000). She is a founding member and regular writer with Punctum. Recent work include libretto for Dinner in a Dry Dam. Emilie works as a copywriter, has a background in acting and improvising and also teaches creative writing, impro and drama. She is a teaching artist with The Victorian Arts Centre. In 2010-11 Emilie is Poet in Residence at c3 Contemporary Art Space as part of Australian Poetry’s Café Poet Program.
