Mark Atterby (also known as The Panman) is a musician and poet currently living in Darebin. With artistic leanings towards the surreal and absurd, his music and poetry has been largely influenced by various literary and film genres including Australian gothic, film noir, spaghetti westerns, and crime novels. Mark’s music and spoken word performances have appeared on various radio stations including ABC National, JJJ, 3RRR, 3PBS and 3CR. He has performed at the Melbourne Fringe Festival, Newtown Festival and the Byron Bay Art and Music Festival. Currently he is working as guitarist and lead vocalist for the newly formed group, The Pope’s Assassins.
